This year's costumes: Jesse (yes, its a woody costume, but we pretended it was Jesse), Dorothy, and our angel. If you haven't already....you can look back and see that angel costume used in years past.

Look at all that thick hair!

We first headed to the fall festival our church puts on. We were there early and so it worked out for our girls to get to play some games without waiting in some long lines! Here is Lindsey trying out fishing.

Then they found face painting and thought it was so cool! They were the first ones of the night!

When we got home, we had some trick or treaters! These two, oh.my.word! They are so cute together and get so so so excited to see each other. It's just adorable! I love it every time!

Kisses, of course. Look at Beau's face. I asked Ryan if he saw her do it. He said, "Yes, and I'm sort of getting tired of seeing it." Ha! It's cute now, we'll see when they are 18!

This was too cute! They were waiting on trick or treaters and passing out candy!

Whitney was DONE with being an angel, but wanted to hang out with the big girls! (ignore Courtney's face...) Too cute of L and W!

We had a fun night. We passed out candy, trick or treated (in the most crowded neighborhood in Greenwood), got lots and lots of candy. Another successful Halloween night.

Kindergarten Halloween Party

This past Friday we had our first class party. I signed up to be the homeroom mom and I had so much fun helping out. Mrs. Morgan and I are similar and I think it will be fun to work with her on parties this year! She had pumpkins for the class and luckily just stickers for the face...no painting. It was fast, but easy. Here's Lindsey's pumpkin.

Whitney did pretty good. She hung out here in the stroller or someone's arms.

Then we did a mummy wrap. They loved it!

Lindsey and Jesse wrapped Jaxon. Jaxon grabbed Lindsey's hand when I said to pick a partner!

The other game we played was "pin the nose on the jack-o-lantern." Lindsey didn't even get close! I don't think that many did!

It was a fun party. When we left, Lindsey said, "That was fun mommy. I hope we have one of those again next year." I told her she was in luck, they would have one each year at school.

Halloween Party 1

Today was Courtney's Halloween party at school. She got to wear her costume...again. She was excited! Here she is with one of her BFFs, Bethany. Courtney was telling me this morning as I was braiding her hair that Bethany was going to be a Candy Corn girl, but her dress had black on it too. She then said in her serious, yet funny, Courtney way, "If she was just a candy corn without the black I would eat her up." ha! I laughed out loud! So funny!

Mrs. Tonya had some cute games for them to play. As I walked in, I just missed Courtney throwing the rings on the legs of the spider.

Then Mrs. Tonya carved the pumpkin they had helped pick out at the pumpkin patch.

Bobbing for apples. Courtney found one with a stem sticking up, so she got it out with that. Smart girl!

Then they decorated cookies!

It was a fun little party!

PTO Program

Last night we had Lindsey's first music program for school. It was at the PAC on the big stage! She was excited. They did a Halloween themed program, so they had to wear their costume. Here is our blonde haired Dorthy! She looked so stinkin' cute!

Ashlynn and Lindsey. Ashlynn is in Lindsey's class and goes to church with us. She's a sweet girl and I'm glad she and Lindsey are friends. She was dressed up as "a dancing with the stars girl."

The program was Kindergarten and 1st grade combined. So here is Lindsey with Abi. I was contained in our row coralling Whitney and Courtney so I couldn't walk around and find friends, so these are the only 2 that I got! I wish I would have gotten more because we had lots of friends there, but it was fun seeing them, pic or not!

I've been wanting to get a picture and this one isn't the best, but you can sort of see.....

Notice her blanket "hooked" on her pinkie! It is precious. She hooks it on there every.single.time she has has it! It is so cute! You can watch her push it down on there and then just keep doing what she's doing. I love it!

They put all the kids on the risers and then each class comes to the line/Christmas tensil and sings a couple of songs. Ryan asked Lindsey if they were just going to sing and her response was, "No! We do motions too." But you have to say/read that with LOTS of attitude. As if she was 13 and Ryan had asked the dumbest question yet. Awesome!

It was a cute little program. She loved it. She waved at us from the stage. I wish we had taken the video camera, but we didn't. There will be more programs I'm sure!

Pumpkin Patch

Courtney's class had a trip to the pumpkin patch. It was close enough that we just walked. It was a really cute thing to do. This lady told a story and sang a couple of songs with them. It was too cute. She was really good!

They were being pumpkins "on a vine" and singing a song. Cute idea!

It was fun. I'm glad I was able to go. They each got a pumpkin and decorated it with stickers today at school. She's having a great time at her school this year!

Dance and Gymnastics

Yesterday at dance, Courtney's teacher had a Halloween party for them. They learned a little dance to "Flying Purple Eater" and did that and had snacks. She was so excited! She was going to be Strawberry Shortcake, but I couldn't find the costume that I wanted for it, then I did and it was too small, but then all the other ones that I had originally turned down were sold out. So I offered Jessi from Toy Story. Yes, sounds good. I then start shopping for that (last week) and am having no luck. We walk around Target and a Halloween store, nothing. I was really starting to worry about what she was going to dress up as. I was telling Erin about needing a Jessie costume and she mentioned that she had Woddy, but didn't know what size it was. Well, lucky for me, it was a 4/5. Also, lucky for me....Courtney didn't seem to notice (at first) or care that it was actually Woody. She was THRILLED! So cute! It wasn't until yesterday when she put it on that she looked at me and said, "Mom, this shirt isn't what Jessie wears." Oh no, I thought she had it figured out and cared. But, nope, she put it on and wore it proud! We got a red cowboy hat from Wal-Mart (and wiggled our nose) and poof she was Jessie!

Seriously....so so so cute!

In order to keep Whitney out of the other kids' snacks, I let her have her own.

She had fun!

This was adorable. I wiped her mouth one time and then she took another bite, picked up her napkin and wiped it herself. Such a little lady! :)

Then we were finished early so I got to watch Lindsey do gymnastics. We've started carpooling with a friend, so I don't get to watch as much as I did when she was little. There are pros and cons, but right now it is easier on this mama to not have to sit in that crowded chair area with Whitney! I was so proud of Lindsey working hard and doing what her teacher asked her to do!

It was a great day. For the first time, it was Courtney that got to do something that Lindsey was wanting to do. It was hard on Lindsey to know that Courtney was at a party, dressed up and she wasn't. We talked about how we have our own classes and when Lindsey did dance she got a party. I think that is partially what made Courtney so excited...it was her turn to "be big."
