Pumpkin Patch...Sort Of...

Today we went to what was called a pumpkin patch, but was a few pumpkins (what was left I'm sure of a large amount) on some palets. So, it wasn't the best experience, but it was fun none the less. We got a few cute pictures for sure! This one is the only one of them together. There wasn't good places for them to be able to sit and all with the weird set up. I'll know next time. Anyway, it was fun and they seemed to like looking at all of the pumpkins.

Candy Corn Girls

Look at that smile! That is one that I wish she would give me all of the time! She has become so funny about taking pictures. I think we are on the up road though, at least she would let me take her picture. Before, she would not even have gone outside. I love the relationship I see between she and Courtney developing. The other day Courtney took a long nap and Lindsey asked me, "When is Courtney going to wake up?" She was wanting Courtney to play with her. It is fun to watch. Of course whatever it is the Lindsey is doing, Courtney wants to do too. Most of the time it is ok.

These are the dresses that mom got them before we went on our trip. You may have seen them in the Mexico trip pictures of the girls. The leggings I got Lindsey were at Wal-Mart. Her MDO teacher told me about them. They don't match perfect, but are very orange and black, so they match! :) Courtney had a bow in her hair but between the living room and the front door it came off. It just isn't worth it to try and get it to stay on. She just won't leave it alone!

Razorback Girl

This is from Sat. night when we were with some friends hanging out. I guess we are still Razorback fans. Before Sat. when we beat Ole Miss, sosrry Brandi, Ryan had said he was going to find a new team to cheer for he was tired of the Razorbacks doing so bad! But, we still cheered on Sat. and they finally all played good and beat the Rebs pretty good, GO HOGS! Anyway, Courtney was decked out in her cheerleading outfit and "throwing" the football with Ryan, pretty much dropping it because it was a real one and so heavy.





Then I guess she was going to 'tee it up' or something! No, she will not be a football player, but at least she's learning early! :)

Friends

Our freinds, Matt and Alecia came to visit from Memphis. LONG story, but they have some other friends here that we also know, but not from memphis! Anyway, we were all at their house, Chris and Misty's. This first picture is Lindsey reading to Avery, Matt and Alecia's daughter who is 7 months old! This was the first time we had seen her since she was little bitty, so it was so fun to see her growing. She's super cute...has those chubby cheeks like our girls!

These are all the kiddos! Avery is in the wagon with our girls and Carter is just hanging out. He and Courtney are 3 days apart! He was born on the 20th that I wanted so badly for Courtney to be born on to match the rest of us, but we lover her anyway!









The wagon ride was the most fun for the kids, but not for the tall daddies that have to bend over to pull the wagon. So, they kept trying to give others a turn, what a great example of sharing they did! :) The kids thought it was super fun! Then Courtney decided she would help Matt, I guess she knew he was struggling...ha ha....so she decided she'd push! Carter didn't want to sit in the wagon, I guess he wasn't ready for all of the girls he was surrounded by!






It was so much fun to see our friends! The girls had a good time playing and Lindsey was cute with all the "babies" and wanting to play with them and "mommy" them too!

Our Days...

I knew I had one book worm, but I think I have two! My dad is so proud. I loved books as a child too, but not a big reader now. Hopefully my girls will continue the love of reading, I know I should love it. This is where I found them one night before bed. Lindsey most of the time loves it when Courtney wants to do something with her, if Courtney will do it right! So, they were each looking at books in Lindsey's room and they did this for a while. Precious moments!



Ryan put these princess shoes on Courtney the other night and she thought she was BIG STUFF since she knew Lindsey wore them too. Ever since then, she always wants to put them on. They are not really heels, just like a "block" that she walks on so believe it or not, she does very well! She likes to sit and take them off though, but immediately she wants them back on. You can imagine, or maybe you can't if you have boys, the noise they make on our hard wood floors! My oh my, she loves that noise! Lindsey told her though the other day when she had them on, "Babies can't be princesses, Courtney." I corrected her and said that anyone can be a princess, so it was ok that she wore those shoes! I guess there is only room for one princess, Lindsey....just like there is only room for one queen...ME! (My mom calls me that. Like the sign says, "If the name fits, wear it. So, I wear it proudly!)

This is Hairy Harry that Lindsey was planting in some of the pictures with my mom while we were gone to Mexico. It is something mom has done for years with her kindergarten classes and now with her 2nd graders. So, it was a fun project for Lindsey while we were gone and it is easy to grow, good for me! :) Lindsey got her hair trimmed yesterday, so we gave Hairy a hair cut too. I didn't get the "after" shot of Hairy, so we'll get one of those and post it!

ALL About Cancun!

Well, since this is a "journal" type thing and it is something that I and my girls (Ryan of course if he wants to) will be able to look back, I may write more than you want to read, but here's the "journal" of our trip and what went on in Greenwood while we were gone.

Saturday-We left for Dallas (to fly out Sun. AM) at 6:30. I cried and cried, but the girls did good. Courtney was in the bath tub and Lindsey was watering the flowers with Grangrad.

Sunday-We flew to Cancun and landed in the rain. As the stewardist said 'I wish I could say welcome to sunny Cancun, but I obviously can't.' By the time we got to our resort, 11:00, it was sunny there. Our room wasn't ready, but it wasn't supposed to be, but what do you do? We just hung out, looked around, made dinner reservations for the week and waited on our room.

Monday-Beautiful weather, hung out in the pool A LOT, watched water volley ball that was going on continuously! Monday night we stayed up for the show at the hotel, like on a cruise, but it wasn't really worth it.

Ryan ate the shrimp and seafood platter or something on Monday, got sick in the night, luckily only once, so he thinks it was something weird in the seafood that he ate. We really didn't have anything that was the same, other than the soup they served, so who knows. It wasn't pretty though!

Tuesday-Rained pretty much all day, off and on. It sort of cleared some in the afternoon, but the water was cool as was the air, so we didn't stay in the pool, but read magazines and stuff, just relaxing! So fun! After a rough Monday night, it was nice to just lay around. We played ping pong and yes, I beat Rayn several games. After winning 'best of 5' he decided it was best of 7, and he ended up winning those, but I had him before that. We played cards too, he did beat me at nertz! Fun stuff you don't normally do, unless you are just hangning out with no distractions.

Wednesday-It was cloudy, but as our last day we wanted to just hang out at the pool and stuff as much as we could. So, we did. We decided to ride a sea doo. Ryan LOVES that and I like it, but it doesn't excite me like it does him. It was fun, but remember it is cloudy. Started raining on us, not horribly, but just enough to "make a memory" once again!

For dinner, we did a Captain Hook Dinner Cruise that we had heard good thing about on the internet, but didn't really know much about. It turned out to be one of the most fun things we did on our trip! Maybe even the most fun part of any vacation we have taken. However, we have no pictures. My camera decided not to work on the last evening. Better then as opposed to the first night. Anyway, it was very entertaining and a lot of fun!

Thursday-We had to check out by 8:00 to get to the air port. We got there, had no trouble and got on our flight and headed home to Greenwood via Dallas!

That was our trip and we had so much fun!!!

Sunday and Monday-They hung out at the house and played with Honey and Grangrad. Nothing too exciting, but fun none the less.

Tuesday-The girls went to MDO, wore their dresses that Honey got them with candy corn on them. Cute! They did good at school and it gave the grandparents a break!

Tuesday night they went to eat at the Bulldog Diner (here in Greenwood) that Honey and Grandgrad love to eat at when they come here. Courtney was sort of fussy and they just thought she might be teething because I had said that she wasn't eating very well sometimes. But, Tuesday night at 9:30 my mom called my friend Tracy, here in Greenwood and asked about an after hours clinic because Courtney was just crying and crying when they would lay her down. By the grace of God, she's a good sleeper like Lindsey was, so it was very unusal for her to be like that and they knew that. There isn't a clinic in Greenwood after hours and not worth driving to Ft. Smith.

Wednesday- They called the doc. and took her in. Double ear infection and "crud" in her throat. They then headed to Wal-Mart for the 2 perscriptions she needed. Bless their hearts! But, Courtney did take good naps and slept that night good.

Thursday-She was a little better on Thursday and napped good. We got home Thursday night in time to see her and I put her to bed. Lindsey was so excited to see us, on the other hand, you would have thought that Courtney didn't know me. Truely! It was a weird feeling! I would crawl toward her to play and she would back up and after a few times of that (she wasn't even smiling) she ran over to mom! So, I put her to bed and played, read and sang like normal and I was convinced enough to put her in bed feeling like I thought she knew me.

It was a great break and vacation for Ryan and I. We had so much fun. It was easy to relax knowing that our girls were so taken care of! THANK YOU HONEY AND GRANGRAD! We love you!

Pictures from Cancun!

Off to Mexico!

Ryan and I are leaving tomorrow for a fun getaway to Cancun! I am so excited! I think (HOPE!) Ryan is, but if you know Ryan you know he is for sure a man of few words. He is the one that picked Cancun for our vacation, just the 2 of us! I picked the resort. He is not a big lay out, just chill at the pool/beach kind of guy. So, I know he loves me to take me there. However, it is all in clusive. I am the biggest tea todler (however you spell that) so I'm off for an adventure I'm sure. I'm ready to go though and can't wait to just spend time with Ryan, doing whatever we want to do. You can see our resort here! It is beautiful and I read online from the reviews that it is just as beautiful in person. My point is to if you read this, please just say a quick prayer for our family's safety and being apart. My parents are coming down to our house to stay with the girls. I have full confidence that it will be a fun time, but I know it will be an adventure here as well. The girls are going to Mother's Day Out as normal, Wed. night church for Lindsey and dance on Thursday. So, they have a few down days as well as a normal, busy schedule around here. Mom and Dad are so excited and Lindsey couldn't be happier to have Honey and Grangrad coming to stay with her. This is a BIG turn from her over the past few months. I'm thankful. I want to be able to go and relax and know that they are having fun. I haven' t cried yet, but am on the verge. As I put Lindsey to bed and as I type this my eyes fill with tears, not taking away from my excitement to go, but I guess just in hoping that all willl go well for us on our trip as well as them here. I know they will be fine and have fun.

We are driving to Dallas tomorrow LATE, flying out EARLY to Cancun. Then be back home on Thursday! I hope it is a good amount of time to feel like we've been away, but also ready to see my girls!

Just when you think of us (and wish you were with us--ha ha!), say a quick prayer for us as we are apart! Thank you and there will be many pictures to share I am sure!

Lindsey Lee

At Puggles two weeks ago, Lindsey learned about how God made the flowers. So, they planted some seeds or a seed, I'm not sure. Anyway, being the opposite of a green thumb, I was very concerned on whether or not something might grow. When something was growing she was so excited. She asked to "watch it grow" so there she is watching it.







We put out our Joe the 'Scrow last week and Lindsey was so excited. We watered the flowers this morning and bought pumpkins today to put out by them. Lindsey had such a good time. She was smiling the whole time.
I tried to get the girls to look at me of course for a quick picture, but they wouldn't look at me, more interested in the pumpkin and flowers. Then as we were going in, Lindsey said, "Look at me, Mommy!" She was giving Joe a hug! She gets so excited to see Joe everyday! I love the life of a three year old.

Courtney Ann

Well, this was Courtney wanting to be like her big sister. She could walk in it a little bit, but was more interested in what was on her foot than walking around in them. She thought she was SO big!














Courtney's hair doesn't curl much, but just after a bath it does. This was the most I had seen, so I had to get a picture of them! Too precious!
