Evan and Lacy's Wedding

Saturday we went to Little Rock to Evan and Lacey's wedding. Evan is a cousin from Watts Reunion! When we started Watts he wasn't even born! I have literally watched him grow up. He is one that when I was a teenager I would "babysit" while we were there. I remember holding him, following him around and playing with him so much! He's a sweet boy and Lacey has been around our family for almost 5 years now and she is just as precious! Absolutely adorable. To watch their wedding made me pray very hard for my girls to be like Lacey and find someone like Evan! Their ceremony was awesome and they are so cute tegether!

Evan's mom is Katherine and Brooke's mom is Jennifer--they are my cousins, so I don't really know what that makes us all, other than FAMILY and I love it!

Here they are with the groom! I just lauged when we found Evan, Lacey wasn't with him! That is what happened with Ryan and I at our reception....we got seperated for the night pretty much!

Birthday Party

Last weekend we had Lindsey's birthday party. We have a great facility at church that we used for her party. We rented a bounce house for the kids, had cake and ice cream and a lot of fun!

This is the cake that I (with a little bit of help from Lindsey) made. I like how it turned out and so did Lindsey! That is what was important!

We had a big, birthday day! The party was fun. The kids were great. Then our family and the Cowgurs came over for lunch and presents. It was fun. I think Lindsey enjoyed her day and we had a blast celebrating with her! What a fun weekend! Now...onto our next one in August for Courtney! Fun times!!

Lindsey Turns 5!

Today my first baby turned 5. It was just a little bit ago by the clock that she was born. I was SO sick with her after my c-section. It had been a long day. Today was a fun day though! She woke up ready to play and do a lot of her gifts from her party this weekend. It wasn't long before the phone started ringing with birthday wishes. She felt so important!
Then for breakfast she wanted pancakes. So, pancakes she got! Courtney and I sang "Happy Birthday" to her. It was super cute, Courtney sang so sweetly! Lindsey was so excited. She told me several times that she was happy I put candles in her pancakes.

We met Daddy at Chuck E. Cheese for lunch! What a good daddy!! It was a perfect lunch date for the birthday girl. (I have to say that last night when he told her at bedtime we were going to do this, she told him that she didn't want Courtney or I to go!! Nice!) She's a daddy's girl!

After our lunch date (that we ALL went on!) I took her to Michael's to shop. She got some birthday money and after going there the other day she and I both thought it would be a perfect place for her to spend her money. I was right! I had to limit what she got. She has a little bit left, but not much! She got TONS of "arts and crafts" that she worked on this afternoon. She also got a couple for her birthday on Sat. at her party and we did those today as well! WOW! I feel like I've been teaching VBS crafts or something! Seriously! It is fun and watching her do her projects and get excited is priceless!

Tonight she asked for spaghetti for supper. She must have been hungry because she had eaten a lot before I could get over to the table with the camera! Excuse the crazy hair, she'd been outside riding her bike with her helmet...thus, the messy and sweaty hair! She liked the red plate, but at the same time she didn't make a big deal out of it like I thought she would. Which is fine, just surprising. She didn't even want any of her cheesecake for dessert!

I don't want to get all mushy. It was a fun day. I'm so thankful for Lindsey. She's a precious daughter. She's sweet, super smart, loving, helpful, and thoughtful just to name a few. She definately has her own personality that brings the ups with the downs. She is and will be again a great big sister too! I pray for many many many more birthdays that we can celebrate together.

Days at the Lake

Last Sat. we went to the lake for the WHOLE DAY! We invited the Curry Family to go with us. We had a blast. I forgot my camera (yes, I rarely do that!) somehow along with extra diapers! Two very important items. However, thankfully Tracy brought theirs! She said they debated since I always have mine...what would we have done on the boat with no camera?! Ha!

Lindsey decided to get real brave! She jumped off the top of the back deck! You can sort of get the idea of how high it was. The Curry boys were jumping and Ryan (sort of jokingly) told Lindsey to try it. SHE DID! A little side story to this is that she also jumped off the diving board while she was visitng Honey! They went to a friend's house to swim and both girls were jumping and jumping off of the diving board! So, he thought she might, but you never know....here she is!

I LOVE this one of Courtney! Tracy got just the right timing! You can see how high it really is! Of course she was not going to be outdone by Lindsey.

We convinced Lindsey, Paige and Courtney to ride in the "red boat." However, we were strictly instructed to go very very slow. We were idling...seriously...not hardly moving. It was so cute, but so funny to really think about us not really even "going" at all! They thought it was GREAT!

Then there were the big boys. Collin LOVED the tube! He is 9 (I think) and fearless!! Austin is 12 and he liked it, but wasn't as into it as Collin was. Ryan convinced Collin to ride with him. Against Collin's will, almost, they rode together. We later learned that probably the main reason he didn't want to ride with Ryan was to keep his clean record of not being thrown off the tube! ha! Ryan ended up flipping them over on purpose and Collin made sure that we all knew it was RYAN's fault they flipped! So cute!

I know God's plan is best and as much as a boy scares me to death, watching Ryan with these boys made me picture him being a great boy dad to what MIGHT (only God knows, huh Ang?) be a boy in this growing belly of mine. I had fun enjoying watching him get to be "rough and tough" even if that was just splashing, teasing, or riding the tube with these boys.

All of that was on Sat. Then on Sunday he went back to the lake. This time, he took BIG boys--16 year olds! His Sunday School class went. He took 4 boys with him that are almost as big as he is, one being a big Greenwood offensive lineman! Yes, BIG boys! I was not invited on this trip (wonder why?!) but from the stories I heard, they had so much fun! I don't know who had more fun--the boys on the tubes or Ryan driving them around! He said they never put the anchor down and burned an entire tank of gas! They left after church, drove through and got some lunch. He walked back in our house at 10:00! Yes, they had fun! Of course there wasn't a mom on there taking pictures, so we will have to imagine...only if you want to!!

Cousins (small addition)

I linked a post that my cousin Ashley (below) did on their trip to our house instead of uploading and reposting. I wanted to post this one, mainly for myself looking back. Ashley and I are due 15 days apart! This is her 2nd. She has a little girl, Anna and is expecting a boy! Yeah!

This picture is truly one of my favorites! Wendi and Ashley are sisters, they came to see us with my Aunt (my mom's sister). Jennifer (by me) is my cousin on my dad's side (Watt's reunion) of the family. However, Wendi and Jennifer were at Baylor at the same time and became friends and told everyone they were cousins (to avoid the long, weird story I'm sure). But really they are both MY cousins, on opposite sides of my family! Too funny! Anyway, Jennifer and her husband and little girl came to visit for lunch to see Wendi! I love it! So here we are with all of our kiddos--next year Ash and I will have 1 more each! WOW!!

Fireworks on the Lake

Friday afternoon late, we headed to the lake with Ryan's brother Kyle and our sister-in-law Miah. It was so much fun! Evening is my favorite time to be on the lake. It is so calm and peaceful, but yet still warm enough to enjoy the water! We started out with swimming!

This is Kyle on the new tube. It is a "real" tube, like lay down and hold on for dear life, not just a sit in it and enjoy the ride kind of tube. He rode it twice and then Ryan rode. I drove Ryan so I don't have a picture of him on it. That was my first time to drive someone in a real tube and try to throw him off. I think I did ok for my first time!

When we were driving to our spot for fireworks, Lindsey was helping hold the tube. She would not let go. So sweet. She looked uncomfortable, so Ryan and I both told her several times she didn't have to hold it, but she insisted.

Ryan grilled burgers for us on the boat! That was his father's day present last year and it has proven to be one of the best! It is very rare for us to go on the boat and not grill! We love it!

This seriously might be one of the only pictures of me in our 2 years on the boat! Usually I'm the one behind the camera, usually in a swimsuit, thus NOT in pictures!! Ha! I saw this and thought "OMG I look so big" but I guess that comes with the territory!

This is Courtney on the drive in from the fireworks to our ramp/car. I had to use the flash to get it because it was SO dark, but she was out! Lindsey had been too. It is a good 20-30 min. boat ride from where we watch them back to where we launch. It was good that they went to sleep.

We had a great time. We went to my parents' house after we got loaded and dropped Kyle and Miah off. It was so late and we were so tired! We had big plans to go on the boat on Sat but the rain came and we started driving home. We literally followed the storm home. It was awful! The rain was so hard and so strong that Ryan had to drive 30 at times on the interstate! Thankfully God kept us safe and we made it home for naptime and got to have an enjoyable day.
