Girls Just Want To Have Fun!

I found this picture today and thought it was cute. A few months old, but still cute! Lindsey gets so excited when Courtney pays attention to her. Lindsey doesn't look that excited, but she loved pushing Courtney around!! The next few months are going to be so fun. There are some priceless moments that happen between them! I love it!
So, once again Courtney performs. She was banging on this piano...just laughing. As soon as I call her name to look at the camera, she just grins from ear to ear! I love this picture of her. It is just "so Courtney!" She's coming into her own personality and I love it!

First Big Catch!

Well, today will go down in the Scogin Family History books! Lindsey got to go fishing with her daddy all by herself! This was a first! I was invited, but decided that Courtney and I were better suited at her age to stay home and let her nap. I would have been just sitting and holding her worrying that she would dive in the water! Anyway, Ryan and Lindsey had a good time. Ryan called me after they'd only been there a short time and said, "Lindsey already caught one all by herslef. It was priceless!" It was priceless to me to know they were having fun and making memories. Lindsey may not remember it, but I would bet that Ryan will never forget it! She was told to "pull" when she saw the bobber go under water, she did and then reeled it in. Ryan said she didn't want to reel it all the way, so he helped her a little bit. I was impressed (and AMAZED) that she would hold it! Way to go Lindsey! Considering she's so picky about what she touches and has on her hands. She came home beaming and so proud that she caught ONE fish! What a joy to watch their faces (both hers and Ryan's) as they experience new moments and memories together! I love it!

Bunny Pictures

Just FYI...we had some "Easter" pictuers (2+ weeks late) taken today. Courtney was due for her 8 month pictures, so we just combined the appt. and did a few with a bunny together and then just Courtney for her "Year in Pictures" thing. So, to see them go to:

One of those days.....weeks!

Here is Lindsey's attire for today. She is wearing a beautiful hooded shirt with pink and white stripes, trimmed in bright green. The adorable top is adorned with snaps all the way to the top. She's wearing her pajama pants that have no matching colors to the top, but plenty of other colors to add to the excitement! Her socks are mismatched which she described as "funny" as we put them on. One is a plain white while the other has multiple Razorbacks on it! Her black patten shoes top off the outfit for a fun day of shopping with her baby, Skeet. Yes, I said Skeet. She and her Daddy named the baby that. She and I had named her Anna Kate, but one night while I was out, Anna Kate's name was changed. Now, she's Skeet. Bless her heart! Better a baby doll than my baby I guess! :)
This is Courtney taking a nap. She moved around and finally got stuck! It came out very easily, but it wasn't keeping her from sleeping until I moved her and she didn't go back to sleep. Thankfully this was not today. She has been napping for alomst 2 hours which is a rarity for her! I needed that today.

Lindsey has been in one of her "valleys" of testing her limits over the past few days. She's gotten several spankings and has been very defiant. It can be so exhausting for Ryan and I. It is so hard to make those split second decisions and do what is right, or knowing what is right. Just pray for us as we try and raise her as we should. We want to do what is best for her, but so many times that is the exhausting part!

Cold Easter Day!

Easter was fun this year, but it was a very chily day. We had a great church service and good family time. We just went to church and drove through Taco Bell for Easter lunch. Fun times! My parents came down later that day and we did our egg hunt and ordered pizza. Nice, casual time with family. Ryan's parents were busy and couldn't come, but they all sent Easter baskets for the girls!

We've had a crazy few weeks (computer wise). It broke again and I picked it up today. I've missed my communication! We have thankfully recovered from our crazy weeks before with Courtney's health and well being! She's great and getting so big. She's not crawling, but is close. Lindsey is beoming such a creative little girl. She loves to play like she's the mommy of her baby and bear. They go to Wal-Mart and Sonic a lot! Wonder where she gets that?! She orders her a Sprite and a Diet Coke for Mommy.
