Father's Day
The girls woke Ryan up with their cards. He isn't big on lights first thing in the morning! :)

I thought it would be so fun to make semi-homemade pizza. It was fun to make. However....the girls didn't like it at all so I ended up having to whip up something else to eat! ha!

One day the Cowgur Crew came down to visit! It was so much fun. Whitney had gone down for a nap before we got a group pic! Love these kiddos! They all play really well together! (especially those middle children...they are 2 peas in a pod)

Dance Recital

This sweet dancer had her recital back in May. She did so good. She loved dance this year. Not sure what activity she will choose for next year, but this was a good fit for this year! I love this girl so much!

Miss Amy has been so sweet. She taught Lindsey and has now taught Courtney.

I don't know if she enjoyed learning the dance as much as she loved putting her costume on and being on stage. Not sure if that should excite me or scare me. ha!

Most Random Ever

This post is full of "random" pictures...but memories I don't want to forget. Ever!


This is part of the senior girls that I have taught this year. I also taught them when they were sophomores. It is amazing to see where they have come from and where they are all going. I am so blessed by them. I know that God had me in their lives for a reason.

Lindsey had her first "homework project" and she was so excited. The only directions were to bring something to represent the state of Arkansas. She decided to do Razorback Football. Of course! It turned out really cute!

One morning I found these two. Reading together. In this chair. It was so stinkin' cute! I could write a whole post on their relationship alone. But I don't think I could put it into words. It is just something different. Something so sweet! I'm so thankful! Courtney does such a good job of being a little sister to Lindsey and a big sister to Whitney. She "knows her role" and is precious in both roles. I'm so proud of her. She has her moments of middle child syndrome for sure, but hopefully we can work through those and she will be stronger for it!

Lindsey was dying to plant flowers. I have nothing close to a green thumb. I used any I had last year and had zero desire to buy and plant flowers. Maybe because Ryan bought literally 100+ flowers for me to plant last year. That was my cup full for sure! So, he took on the task this year.

We get this look quite often...

I wish I could say these sweet flowers were beautiful and flourishing...but like I said, I don't have a green thumb. And I don't go out and water flowers in 100 degree heat. So...they are struggling to say the very least! :)

Whit enjoyed some spaghetti one night...a lot!

Senior Trip

As soon as graduation Sunday was over at church, we were loading up and heading out for Panama City Beach, FL with 23 seniors! I was so excited to spend several days on a trip with this special group of kids!

We had some precious moms make some sandwiches, bring chips and drinks for us to have a sack lunch and get on the road. We used the back of our suburban for the buffet!

We got there late Sunday night so the next day they were all ready to get in the water! So....we took over the beach area and ocean!

Lee and Sarah Kemp, we ate dinner and hung out in the evenings while the kids were on their own. It was a lot of fun.

We had a blast. The kids were great. We had some fun times and some good memories were made. These kids will always be part of who we are and who God is shaping us to be. It is amazing when you are trying to lead people (youth in this case) how much they teach you. I know God is going to use so many of these kids for His glory. I'm just blessed to have been party of His big plan for their lives!

Camping Trip

We decided to go camping Memorial Day weekend. However, I'm am DONE tent camping. At least for sure with kids. So, we borrowed Bill and Cynda's 5th wheel and it worked well. Even if that still means you are "camping" it at least means there is air conditioning! It wasn't dirty at all, but Whitney was obsessed with doing this...wiping the floor.

We went on the boat everyday and had lots of fun. Except the water was FREEZING!


Courtney was exhausted and we saw this...a lot.

Courtney made new friends...of course! The funny thing is, it was a guy that I went to college with's daughter. They were camping right across from us.

Courtney was convinced theses were shells that she found at the campsite.
Maybe she was just dreaming of the beach....like I was!It was a pretty good trip, now looking back. Ha! At the time, I was tired, the girls were tired and the timing ended up being crazy. I am looking forward to doing it again and learning from our experience what works well and what doesn't.

Kindergarten Awards Assembly

We are so blessed to be Lindsey's parents! It was a great day and we were so proud of her!

Here is our smarty pants. She got a reading award, math award and principal's roll (all A's all year long). When she was going to bed that night, this is the conversation we had:

L: Mom, why is it called the principal's roll?
M: I don't really know why.
L: I guess that how principals roll. (she said it with a serious, straight face)
M: yes, I guess so (holding in laughter)

Precious precious Ms. Morgan. Little did I know what a blessing she would be to my big girl. God put Lindsey in this class and knowing Ms. Morgan, I know exactly why God put Lindsey there. She was precious to her and loved on Lindsey just like Lindsey needed. I'm so thankful!

What a great Kindergarten year Lindsey had! I had a hard time sending her to Kindergarten, but at the same time I had a harder time wrapping my mind around the fact that it went by so fast! She has grown up so much and I just can't imagine how fast the future years will be.
