Happy Memorial Day!

Little Mommy!

Lindsey is such a "big helper" (that is what we tell her and she says). She set up her chairs for Skeet and Zoe, her babies. She had her arms around both so I had to catch the moment. So, then she wanted to hold Courtney. Courtney let her for a little bit, but got tired of it pretty quickly. Lindsey loved it. It was precious!

Sisters, crawling, boots and More!

Are these girls even sisters!? They are so different already! They both get so excited to see eachother each morning. I love that moment!
Courtney is now crawling all over the place. She found Lindsey's puzzles and this is her "playing" with them. This is one of those big puzzle pieces that has a big knob on it that she put in her mouth like a pacifier! She's done this a few times and it is so funny I had to capture her moment of fun!
Yesterday Lindsey found her boots in her closet and wanted to put them on! She thought they were great and of course so stylish!!!
My big girl! This was Lindsey before school yesterady and I just thought she looked like such a big girl! I love that she is growing up, but at the same time I realize how time is truely flying by and passing before our eyes! She is no longer even a toddler, but a little girl!

Pretty Darn Cute!

Today I had Courtney's picture made for her NINE months picture! I can't believe it! You can see it at www.legacyhousephotography.com Then find my name and the password is scogin8. She did very good today! I was pleased because her last session she wasn't happy at all. She was all smiles today though! We had a busy day. We were up in Bentonville for the day...taking Courtney's pictures, visiting Honey at her school, running a few errands and having dinner with Honey at Red Robin! Grangrad aka Grandad was playing his usual Thursday golf, so it was just the girls this time. We'll catch him next time for sure!

Ryan and I are camping tomorrow night and canoeing on Friday! Yes, I am camping and canoeing! We'll see if we survive this or not. Luckily it is supposed to be great weather and even on the cool side, praise the Lord!

Our Little Monkey

Courtney loves her new freedom of crawling! She found all the letters on the fridge tonight! She had fun pulling them off and then eating them. She couldn't decide if it was more fun to scrape them into the floor or put them in her mouth! Oh to be 9 months old! Yes, 9 months next week! I can't believe it!
Our little monkey! She loves to take a bath. For some reason getting out of the tub and putting her diaper and pajamas on is stressful to her! This was before that...she was too cute not to catch in a pose! You can't really see the towel I guess, but it is a cute monkey!

Mother's Day On Sunday

On Sunday morning, Lindsey was in her "very 2" mood and wouldn't take a picture with me. I didn't think about it later when we got home from church, so I have a picture with just Courtney on Mother's Day. Oh well, she needs a few like that, right?! Then after churc

h Ryan's mom, Bill and Kyle came down to visit. Kyle was so cute playing with Lindsey too! He's so great with kids! He was pretending to be asleep and then she would wake him up and she thought that was great! We had lunch and then just got to sit around and visit. Kyle proposed to his girlfriend (now fiance), Miah, on Saturday. She wasn't able to come since she had plans with her mom, but we are super excited about having her as part of our family! I'm excited to have a "sister" finally! Cynda and I were out numbered so it will be lots of fun to have Miah with us now. We really like her and couldn't be happier for Kyle! We love you guys!

Mother's Day On Saturday

On Saturday my family was able to come down to celebrate mother's day. Uncle Taylor is always a hit with Lindsey. She loves him to play and he is so cute with her. He does whatever she wants and laughs with her so much! They have a great time together. Precious! Taylor had fun reading Care Bears...the longest book we have! Way to go Taylor! The other, new exciting game this weekend was "London Bridge" and we played it for several min. Everyone had to go under...even Grangrad! (Grandad)

She's On The Move!

Courtney is crawling! YEAH! She's really getting around now. Saturday night she took 4 crawls. I told them at church on Sunday not to tell me if she crawled in there! :) Then on Monday she crawled to get something and that was all. Tuesday she crawled further to get things and then just today she started crawling to follow me. She still doesn't just take off after us or come to us immediately by any means. She also isn't that fast yet. I know it is coming though. She's ahead of Lindsey in this area. Lindsey didn't crawl until 10 months and didn't walk until 12. Courtney will be 9 months on the 23rd, so she's just a little ahead. She doesn't have any teeth. For a month now when she's fussy I blame it on maybe teeth, but I guess I shouldn't do that any more until I see some. She doesn't have any! That is very late. But, it is hereditary and I didn't have a tooth at 12 months. Lindsey had her first one come through when she was 7 months! They are such individuals at such an early age! Amazing!

I can't believe this year I'm a mother of 2 on Mother's Day! WOW! They are both such blessings and I'm so blessed to be able to have such sweet, loving, healthy girls! Praise the Lord!

Princess Lindsey!

Here is Princess Lindsey! She's showing me her "pretty flowers" that she's holding. Can't you see them?! She loves to put this on and play. The second she had it on today she "twirlled" around and lifted the skirt part up! You don't teach that!!! I love it! Courtney will probably hide dresses under her bed like my friend Martha did growing up. Oh well, we'll still love her!

This is my little artist! Her fine motor skills are unreal to me! I realize I'm not around a lot of 2 year olds, but she has started coloring in the lines. She can now make an "L" for Lindsey and a lower case I. We call it a line w/a polka dot! How cute is that! Her puzzles, colors and paints are her favorite things. We'll see how God is going to use this talent He's given her!

How thankful I am for the talents God has given my children. My prayer is that I can guide them to use those things for him.

What in the world!? (In order to appreciate this picture, you need to click on it and make it bigger to see Courtney's face!!) Courtney wanted some of my snow cone, so she ended up with the straw. She loves to put stuff in her mouth and then just leave it there. She does this all the time. She'll put a marker in there, bracelets, food from Lindsey's kitchen...anything! It is so funny to watch her!
Could her eyes be any bluer? After a relaxing day at home we ate supper and then got to go get snow cones. Lindsey liked Ryan's raspberry the best...can you tell by her lips? She wouldn't smile for me, but I couldn't help but love this picture of her eyes! It was a beautiful day outside and we got to hang out for a little while and eat our snow cones! What a memory!
I would have bet money that she would have been craling by now. Saturday she took two "steps" with her hands and moved her legs, but then nose dived into the carpet. This is her favorite position! She gets up on all 4's and just stands there for a second and then goes to her knees! So funny! She was attempting to get to Lindsey's snow cone last night while we were outside!
Lindsey wanted Dixon and Diamond to sit by her, but of course Diamond didn't want to. So, Dixon had to do! She loves them!
