T-Ball FUN!

Throw back to I don't know....25 or so years ago...and these are my old tball or softball shirts! :) My mom found them as she was cleaning out and luckily there were 2! My girls sleep in them and they think they are great! So cute!! (excuse the flash on the tv...we were just trying to get a quick pic) Our team was the "Powder Puffs" Shout out to my cousin Wendi!! Do you have your shirt?!?! Now, here is my baby in her first t-ball shirt! At the house right before we left! She was more than ready! She was about to BURST and could hardly contain her excitement...

This was HILARIOUS! When the other team hit the ball, it was funny to see almost the entire team go after the ball. I'm proud to say that if you look close you can see Lindsey on the bottom of that pile! YOU GO GIRL!! She becomes aggressive at t-ball! So funny!

It was as I have described to some friends as "chaotic entertaining fun" tonight! Lindsey had a blast. Ryan wasn't there. Which was sort of hard and weird for me. I hated that he missed her FIRST EVER game, but he's out of town with work and couldn't do anything about it. There will be plenty more games for him to be part of.

One cute thing Courtney said as we were walking out the door "When I'm 4 can I play t-ball?" Of course I said yes. So she said, "Ok, I will wear my red t-ball shirt to play when I'm 4." So cute. She's so funny! I can't wait for her to be part of something and watch her "perform" as we've been able to watch Lindsey! I love being a mom to these girls! Wonder what God will give us in October?!?!

Bon Voyage!

I wish that title meant that I was headed for a cruise, but no...just the lake on our boat. My most favorite cruise! :)

Here are the girls relaxing....so cute. Of course it is fun for one min. and then one (usually Lindsey) or the other gets tired of "sister togetherness" and it turns out in a fit. But while it lasts, it is precious!

Just like last year, driving was Lindsey's favorite thing to do!! I LOVE this picture of her!

Ryan grilled hot dogs and we had a fun dinner on the boat. Honey and Granddad were there. The wind was crazy so that is why there are only pictures of the girls...Honey and I weren't up for pictures of wind blown hair. Not sure how the boys missed out on being in pictures. It was fun and made me excited for this summer. I can't wait to spend some good family time at the lake! C'mon good weather! (on the weekends please!)

Perfect Day

Other than on vacation on the beach, this was a perfect day. We spent the day as a family, at our house doing "stuff" that just needed to be done. I love watching Lindsey "paddle around" behind Ryan no matter what he is doing. He had to change the oil in the mower and we were all out there watching. Lindsey learned what an oil filter is! Ha! Once it was up and going, of course they wanted to "mow" with Daddy. So, I look out the window and this is what I see....priceless! Then Ryan washed our cars. He is so good at this. I love having a clean car. Courtney loves to "spray the green thing" so she helped him wash his car and mine!

Tonight after their bath, they helped put together another cabinet for the toy room. It was very much needed! They couldn't get to some of their toys because they were "piled" into the cabinet. Now, it is nice, neat and organized. They hammered the nails and helped put the handles on too! So cute...

A few other things we did today were:

• Ryan and the girls went to the square to see the car show. Lindsey asked if people were looking at our car at the car show! Ha! He took both girls AND brought home a Sonice Vanilla Diet Coke. What more can a wife ask for?
• planted the rest of the flowers
• hang out with our neighbors and Lindsey rode Emily's bike for a little bit...our kids went back and forth between our houses several times today! I love having great neighbors!!
• washed the boat inside and out (for our first outing tomorrow at the lake!! Yeah!!)
• grilled dinner

The girls are in bed. I need to shower and read my Sunday School lesson for tomorrow. Thank you Lord for perfect days like today!

Flower Garden

I am absolutely NOT a mom with a green thumb. However, we have to put something in our flowerbeds by our front door. We pulled out some big holly bushes a while back and therefore it is totally blank! Lindsey calls it our flower garden. However, don't picture anything big and beautiful! :) Courtney wasn't really doing much other than playing in the dirt looking for "lizards" (aka worms). Ha!
Lindsey could do the entire process herself. When we first started it had rained the day before so the dirt was very easy for her. She could dig the hole, put the flower in and cover it back up! I was really impressed actually. I don't know why, she can follow directions very well...

My sweet husband went and bought the flowers and of course had to take Lindsey with him. They came home with 34 four packs. I'll do the math for you...that equals 136! Granted they are small, but that means SOMEONE has to plant 136 flowers. I have around 80 of them planted and the others are still on our porch. I know I need to do something with them, but did I mention that I am not a green thumb. I enjoy doing some with the girls, but I think 80 might be my limit!

Easter 2009

There are a TON of pictures on this post...watch out!

Our Easter celebration started at MDO. The girls had Easter egg hunts at school on Thursday. This is Courtney and her friend, Harper, finding eggs.

Lindsey and Madison finding eggs. They were going to hunt for eggs outside, but it turned out to be rainy and cold. They didn't know the difference and had lots of fun!

Then on Friday we dyed eggs at home. They had fun. We didn't do anything fancy, just colored the eggs and that was it.

We weren't sure about how to "do" the Easter Bunny or what we wanted to do with it. So, we just said the bunny left surprises for them in their baskets. Nothing big...

Our Easter was a rainy day outside, but that didn't damper the real meaning of Easter. We headed out to church in the crazy weather! POURING rain doesn't begin to describe it. So, some pictures before were imparitive! I love these simple, precious dresses I found last fall!! It was nice once spring rolled around, to not have to worry about finding their outfits!

This goofy smile became Courtney's signature smile this weekend...not sure what that is!

The Scogin Family! So crazy to think that we will have another one sitting with us here next year! Will we be buying another dress or some of those precious saddle shoes for a little boy??

Honey made the famous bunny cake for the girls. She did it last year and asked me if I wanted to do it with them this year. I didn't have time, since the whole family was coming over for lunch, so she did it this year again....maybe next year we will tackle that ourselves.

Honey, Granddad and Uncle Taylor came EARLY and went to church with us. They met us there. It was nice to have them at church with us. Lindsey had to go to big church and Courtney went to the nursery. Amber went to church with her family, but we missed seeing her.

It was a great Easter. We are lucky to have such a wonderful family. We love having them come over and the girls love having all of them here. It was almost like Christmas...they each brought the girls an Easter "treat" which was so sweet! I made chicken spaghetti, mom made a batch and we had veggies and rolls to go with it. So much fun! We love having them all here!

I hope you all had a HAPPY EASTER! "Jesus is alive" (Courtney kept saying this, which made it even more special coming out of her precious mouth!)

T-Ball

T-ball officially started the day we had to send our computer off. So, we've had a few practices, but here are the pictures from the first practice! This is Kennedy, Madison, and Lindsey. Kennedy's dad, Sean, is helping Ryan coach.

For all these years I hvae said that Lindsey isn't going to be our "athletic" one. However, she may just prove me wrong. I do realize we are talking about 4 year old t-ball. She LOVES it! She pays attention (of course!) and seems to really want to do it. She doesn't really play in the grass (yet-ha!) but is always looking for the ball. She's pretty fast when she runs too. The funny thing is that she is throwing RIGHT HANDED! She said she likes to throw with that hand better. Ryan wants her to throw right handed. She seems to bat good both ways! He is trying to get her to "like" left handed better, but so far she does both. We'll see! She's so excited for her first game. Ryan is going to miss it! :( He has to be out of town for work. But, we have plenty more t-ball fun for him to be part of! He is so cute with them and so good with them! I love watching!

I'm Baaaaacccckkk!!

Ok, I have my computer back in my lap!! :) Yeah!! However, we have a BRAND NEW HARD DRIVE. I don't know a lot about what that means except that it is a good thing I have my pictures on my flash drives! WOW!! We have NOTHING on our computer. The only other thing I should have backed up was my address book! Ugghhh. More than getting the addressess again from everyone is putting them into my beloved excel. However, I don't have excel now. We literally have nothing on our computer! It is crazy! I have the internet, so I'm not complaining!

I have quite a few posts in my head but they require pictures I have taken. I have to figure out how I'm going to store them since I no longer have my kodak program I once had! :( Nothing fancy, just an easy way to store them and edit! I am not going to stay up tonight working on it, but am happy to have my computer back!
