Thanksgiving in Slidell

 We took a trip down to Slidell, LA to visit Ryan's grandmother and cousin Sarah for Thanksgiving.  They had not met Whitney and the last time they saw the big girls they were 4 and 2!  Grandma spoiled us with yummy dinners.  Here are the 4 girls getting ready to eat.

 I didn't take many pictures at home, we just hung out.  Sarah and Lindsey worked a lot of puzzles together.  Lindsey was so sweet with Sarah and loved hanging out with her!

There is a park not far from their house so one day we went to hang out for a little bit!

 Lindsey loves to cook and she couldn't learn from anyone better. Since this is Ryan's grandma, and the girls call Pam "Grandma" we had to come up with a new name.  The girls call her "Granny" She picked it.  I love it!  So here are Granny and Lindsey cooking

 The girls tend to "show off" when they are getting lots of attention.  Needless to say...there was plenty of attention on them and they were definitely showing off!

 While we were there, the Hogs played LSU.  Since Sarah lives there, she is a big LSU fan...so of course there was a lot of smack talking going on between her and Ryan.  It was a stressful time during the game, but all in good fun.  LSU won, so Sarah was happy...the rest of us from AR were quite disappointed!

It was a great trip.  The girls did good.  Lindsey spent the night one night with Sarah.  We stayed at a hotel near by. I'm glad we went down to visit.  It was great for the girls to get to hang out with Sarah and Grandma.  I'm thankful for loving family!

Thanksgiving Party

 They did a neat thing in the 1st grade and changed classes and did different Thanksgiving things in each teacher's room.  They were doing some song here, but I can't remember what it was.

 Then they were learning about how the Indians cooked.  Whitney was all about sitting like the big kids!

Such sweet girls!  I'm so thankful God put them together in this class!

Upward and HOGS vs TN

 This Saturday started with an Upward Cheer Clinic.  Courtney is so excited to cheer this year.  She has watched Lindsey and it is finally her turn!  She was ready to go!

 Of course Whitney wanted to do what the big girls were doing...

 Honey and Grangrad were coming to babysit for us to go to the football game, so they came to the clinic at the end to watch the girls perform!  Courtney loves an audience!

 Then Ryan and I headed to Fayetteville for a game we had been talking about since summer!  The Drapers went with us, with lots of talk about how no matter the outcome we were all riding in the same car on the way home.  Ha!  We tried to take a pic outside...but it was a little windy. :)

 So we did our best in the car...but not sure it's any better.  You get the idea.  We can be friends and still wear opposing team shirts!  Of course the HOGS won, but that was expected so Jason handled it just fine.

I'm so thankful for Kim and her new friendship!  We can relate a lot because they have had to move like us.  She's a super fun friend and I'm glad that we can be friends and give eachother a hard time about our football teams!

Halloween Festivites

 We went to Lindsey's school party and there was an extra bag so Courtney got to make one too.  It was a big treat for her!  Courtney and Whitney love getting the "visitor" sticker every time!

 They decorated pumpkins and Mrs. Amy helped.

 We went to the fall festival at Bell Park that the church does.  We ran into a penguin that looked like Ashlyn. :)  I'm so thankful for sweet, Christian friends for Lindsey!

 It was a long, fun night!  These girls had a great time!
