Blessing Baskets

 The big girls and I helped our church today with a Thanksgiving ministry they do called Blessing Baskets.  They provide a sack of food for needy families that will be a Thanksgiving meal for them.  It was neat to see so many people, working in an assembly line to get this done!  It was a great reminder and good lesson for Lindsey and Courtney to be reminded of how much we have and need to be thankful for it!

We drove up to Rogers first and there was a "fruit section" that they said was great for kids.  They had to just count 2 apples and 2 oranges and put them in bags.  The adults tied the bags and then put them in boxes to be loaded in trucks to deliver to the churches.

 The girls jumped right in and started helping.  Lindsey did the same thing the whole time, but Courtney liked to change it up.  But they served with happy hearts and hopefully will remember the reason that we were helping...to help others.

 It was such a fun experience and I'm so glad I decided to make us go.  Ryan was sweet and stayed home with Whitney.  She wouldn't have lasted.  We left at 8:30 and didn't get home until 12:30.

We then went down to the Fayetteille campus and helped get things there organized and ready.  The girls again jumped right in and did so great!  This will be something we will do every year!  I want to do better at teaching them to appreciate what they have and not take it for granted.
