I don't know if you have read the book called "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" but if so, that is about how this looked and happened! My mom, bless her heart, loves to dress up and act out, so she now has my kids to "play with" but since there are no cousins (maybe we are headed in that direction since Taylor and Amber are getting married) to participate, we the adults have to take on some of the roles. Taylor and Ryan do a great job of playing along for the girls. Believe me, they wouldn't do it otherwise I'm sure! So here we are:

(no this Mary is not with child and yes, if she was it would truely be miraculous at this point!)

I was sworn to not putting these pictures anywhere else (like facebook) since we are actually dressed up. I guess the Thanksgiving "props" are ok to share with the world. But apparently "full costumes" aren't! Hey, if the boys will participate and that is all we have to do is not post the pics for their firends to see....I'm ok with that! My girls love doing it. We had a script to read and Lindsey asked Honey why she didn't get to say more things. Lindsey is cute doing it, but Courtney who is our loud, sometimes abnoxious child is at the most precious age! When you tell her what to say she says it in the most quiet, sweet voice I have ever heard. It melts my heart.
Courtney was confused at why Mary had blue on, she should have been in pink. Then they (L and C) kept asking why we weren't laying baby Jesus in the manger. So practical! So cute! I love it! Thanks Honey for helping us make wonderful, family memories! She told us we would not act out the Easter story....although Uncle Taylor sure would make a good Jesus with his beard and long hair!

OK, so if you've never seen any of my scrapbooks, you should see our Christmas photos! We do this every year and have since Jake was in a carrier! They are such wonderful memories, each one! Yes, we have cousins that participate with the kids, so we don't have to do a lot of it, but it's great when Gray end up the donkey or something. Enjoy these years because it's harder as they get older!
