Halloween Day

Whitney got to wear her costume to school.  They had a costume parade on the way to chapel.  Parents were invited but I didn't go because I knew it would not be pretty when I had to leave.  So, a friend sent me these pictures!  So sweet!

 Ryan's office dressed up.  He came up with being Cousin Eddie from Christmas Vacation movie.  We found a sweater and belt at a thrift store, Cintas had the green pants (of course), Katherine had the black "dicky" (of course) and he rented the shoes from Mr. Tux.  It was GREAT!!

 We had gotten a flier in the girls folders from school about going trick or treating at the square.  I asked Uncle Taylor if he was working, but he wasn't.  We decided to go anyway....Katherine, Evan and Elliott went with us.  It was fun to be with cousins, but the square was so so so crowded!  Not sure that's something we will do every year.

 They just had all kinds of tables/vendors and you just walked around the square literally and trick or treated each table.  There was a LONG LONG line that basically encircled the square around the outside, but would have taken FOREVER.  Katherine and I couldn't figure out why in the world people were standing in that line just for candy.  It was seriously so long.  So we took the inside track (aka quicker route) and did that and had a great time. The kids didn't know the difference!

So much fun.  Again, being close to cousins makes this so much more memorable.  Love doing these things.  This was probably the first and last time to do the square....it was just too crowded to get some extra candy we don't need!
