We left for the beach EARLY on Sat. morning. The plan was for the girls to sleep for a while, but that didn't happen. They only slept a couple of hours. It made for a VERY VERY long trip down to Florida. But we had lots of entertainment, so we made it...barely. :)
About 6 hours into our trip, Kyle and Miah had a flat tire. Thankfully we were together and Ryan could assist Kyle in changing it.
Plus Landon got to come hang out in the car with us for a little while, which was a great break for everyone.
Court took her spot in the way back and spread out. She was pretty happy most of the time....
On random days I had my camera, so here we are just playing on the beach, who knows what day is when, but it was all fun!
One night before dinner, the girls were looking super cute sitting by the fountain.
Our crew got sno cones several nights. It was right by the bridge to Navarre so it was easy fun!
Landon and Whitney did pretty good on the beach together. They both enjoyed playing in the sand, but each needed their own toys. There wasn't much sharing going on
Snacking with cousins, just hanging out was so much fun!
We went out for Bill's birthday. We went to a burger place because he loves burgers. He got a "Debbie Doubler" that was HUGE to say the least. He ate it all. Kyle got the same thing and ate his all gone too!
At the burger place it was a LONG LONG wait for our food for some reason. We had to get creative with entertaining the kids. So, I took a turn with Landon and Lindsey came outside with us. She loves him and loves being the big cousin to him!
The pool is where Courtney wanted to spend 75% of her time. She met a friend. Actually several friends. That didn't surprise any of us. One friend was Joey from Alabama. Lord have mercy on us in 8 or so years. She would look for him, want me to go to his room (yes, she knew which room), find him on the beach, etc! The other friends she made were a couple of teenage girls, probably 13ish. They would walk by and say, "hiiiiii Courtney!" It was cute and sweet. Made her day for sure! Courtney always finds a friend, no matter where we are.
We set up "camp" everyday, or should I say Bill set it up. We just enjoyed the shade and hanging out. It is so nice to have our space and have some shade and enjoy the beach. I love this! Not to mention we represent the HOGS on the beach. We usually see at least 1 or 2 other SEC school tents.
We loved having a family trip to the beach.
